On July 7, AUN held the first interfaith celebration ever in Yola of Eid-El-Fitr the Islamic festival marking the end of the Ramadan fast.

The event saw Christian and Muslim leaders sharing tables. Bishop Stephen Ransome, a member of the AUN-Adamawa Peace Initiative (API), said “Eating together and sitting together, at a time like this, speaks volumes. AUN is a multi-national institution where people from various faiths have come to learn and to teach.”

For another member of AUN-API, Assistant Vice President Abba Tahir, “the spirit and character of the event is that humanity is one.”
