PRESIDENT ENSIGN–THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT THE GLOBAL ALLIANCE INSTITUTE ON CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

At the Global Alliance Institute on Civic Engagement at Kalamazoo College, Michigan, President Ensign said that tertiary institutions must connect more deeply with their communities and use their expertise to provide sustainable solutions to complex social problems.

In her keynote speech, “Seeking Refuge from Boko Haram: How a University Responded to a Humanitarian Crisis in Northeast Nigeria,” President Ensign discussed how AUN fed and clothed 276,000 IDPs fleeing Boko Haram violence between 2014 and 2015.
