We will never know exactly how many children have been killed by Boko Haram. We know hundreds of thousands have fled their homes and survived. But they have nothing. Some don’t even have parents – they have been killed by Boko Haram or lost contact with their children in the chaos of running for their lives.
These children and their families need help. They need food and sleeping mats and sanitary products and medicine. There are an estimated 2.2 million displaced people in Nigeria. At least 150,000 of them are in the town of Yola where AUN is located.
AUN is providing food aid to displaced children, and has a scholarship fundraising campaign in place for them as well.
Many thanks to writer/producer Julio Cabral, producer Elaine Sibert and director Norry Niven in creating the PSA above to bring attention to the atrocities committed by Boko Haram.
